Today's program was Patricia Tedesco from the VT Center for Independent Living. She explained to us the mission her organization has to provide both Handicap Access improvements to Bathrooms and Entrance Ramps for folks needing them.
They install a lot of the new metal modular Ramps that are fast and easy to install and can be reused at another location when the need for it changes. Pat stated that for a number of reasons, there is a lot of money currently available for these projects. They have normally had up to a 2 year Waiting List which is not down to a couple months. Very important work they do to help those who need it most.
