Duck Regatta
The Newport Rotary Clubs annual Duck Regatta will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 24, 2017. The ducks will race down the Wild Clyde River behind the Chamber of Commerce building. Tickets are
available from any Rotarian and you do not need to be present to win.

SOME OF THE RESULTS OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF NEWPORT’S FUND RAISING EFFORTS:
- The new deck for Vermont's North Country Chamber of Commerce.
- $12,000 for the purchase of new scoreboards for North Country Union High School Gym.
- $10,000 donation toward the construction of Vermont’s North Country Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center.
- $13,000 donation toward the IROC Walking Track.
- $25,000 donation toward the Gateway Center second floor renovation.
- Thesaurus project for 7th grade students throughout Orleans County.
- Academic and Music Scholarships totaling over $5,000 per year.
- Payson Davis fund that buys personal items and pays camp tuition for needy children having no other options.
- Annual Music Festival that’s unique in the State for housing the participating students.
- Food Shelf “Third Tuesday” donation program.
- Rotary Foundation International program contributions.
- Annual Christmas for Kids program.
- The funding of dozens of individual requests every year from area residents, students and organizations.
